Sgt. Remo

About Sgt. Remo

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wrote my first song when I was around 6 years old. It was a song for my mom. I think that was the spark that started my musical journey cause I've never stopped writing songs since that day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Barrington Levy, Too Experienced: The Best of Barrington Levy Burning Spear, The Best of Burning Spear Nicodemus, Super Cat, Super Cat and Nicodemus (Remastered) These albums are special to me because they are like a time capsule of reggae music. Each of them gives you a glimpse into the different sounds, attitudes, and expressions that came out of Jamaica. They are like history books. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Delivery Service (feat. Ranking Joe)” This collaboration with the great Ranking Joe is my favorite song. Not only did I get to collaborate with one of the living legends of reggae dancehall, but we created a banging tune. Everywhere I perform this song it's always very well received. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? These last two years have been filled with great moments. I was on the cover of IRIEmag. We performed at the Austin, Dallas, and Houston reggae festivals for the first time. I also released my first vinyl album. So lots of cool moments recently. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, most definitely! I want to collaborate with some of my favorite reggae artists. I need to bring my music to Europe and all over Latin America. I have a lot more music to create and I want to perform live with my band all over the world.
