Singer Da'Ville knows the importance of having a good song that's matched with an eye-catching and interesting music video that showcases the song's lyrics.

He recently released the video for Happy, a song that's earmarked for his forthcoming album Breathe. The video was shot in the Lauderhill area of Fort Lauderdale in Florida under the direction of Stephan 'Q' Bookal and Dave 'Shaky' Arjune (M1 Digital Productions).

"It's definitely been a privilege to be able to work with very talented individuals. As they say, 'teamwork makes the dream work!' The vibe was very smooth and favourable. Everyone's willingness to work towards the vision has been excellent. It is never easy, but was definitely worth it. I appreciate everyone's time, effort and flexibility, and so far, the consensus of everyone involved on this project is that we all had an amazing time," Da'Ville said. "We did three days of shooting and we ended up doing two videos, including one for my next single that will be coming out in July. I personally enjoyed the acting and the creative vibe that also showcased my acting skills to the fans and supporters. It's been a minute since I did any acting of that magnitude so it was really exciting to do that."

Da'Ville shared that the song's lyrics and the video are relatable to his everyday life.

"Well, ever since I became a dad and a committed man to my wife, eventually I have learned and realised that my old selfish ways no longer work or apply. My old self used to be focused on me and only me. I had to shift my ways and learn to practise empathy, especially for the people I love. I understood that their happiness was just as important as mine, and this song and visual helps to bring that into full focus," he said.

Since its release in early June, the video has racked up more than 50,000 views on YouTube.

"The feedback has been outstanding, the views and comments are really encouraging. It's been a minute since I did a song of this magnitude and had visuals that brought the same energy. People have been commenting and asking for more, and I'm just so thankful that they've been so welcoming to me and what I've been able to bring to the musical table especially with this endeavour. All the love and support has been very overwhelming and I am genuinely grateful. All glory and honour can only be given to our Lord God almighty. His ways are so much better," said Da'Ville.
