The best solution for me is to find some quiet, undisturbed time and space. I enjoy walking and gardening. There's something about nature that centers me and clears my head. I also get inspired by purging a cluttered closet or kitchen drawer. Purging from or organizing a space and purging my mind or organizing my thoughts onto the page are similar - at least to me. I also find that I do much better thinking and more successful writing when I'm well fed and well rested. Writing isn't easy and good writing can take a lot out of an individual, we need to take care of ourselves!(less)
