Relatives,
Yesterday, Trump announced he was allowing the federal right away for the Keystone XL pipeline

Furthermore, TC Energy (formerly TransCanada) has announced that they plan to begin construction activities along the pipeline route in Montana and South Dakota beginning in February.

In regards to both parties' announcements, the Indigenous Environmental Network is evaluating any and all legal options within our means to address this atrocious threat to the communities along the proposed pipeline route.

We also provide the following statement:

For the past decade we have stopped this project through the usage of legal, direct, and spiritual action. That resolve to defend the land and protect Indigenous communities from the threats of tar sands oil ever stands firm. From the courtroom to the frontlines, from northern Alberta to the US Gulf Coast, we will continue to fight this project for the benefit of the next seven generations of life and beyond.
